IV Drip For Eye Care & Vision Support

When your eye sight starts to fail, it can be devastating for both you and those around you. Unfortunately, many people don’t realize their vision is declining until they have a hard time reading the menu in a restaurant or miss an important stop sign while driving. This can be scary and lead to more serious problems.

An IV Drip is an option to help improve your vision naturally without having to resort to glasses or surgery which could have complications with them.

IV drip helps strengthen your eyesight by improving the blood flow to blood vessels in the eye. It also helps with eye care by giving your eyes the specific nutrients they need which are essential for healthy eyesight. These vitamins can help protect against cataracts and macular degeneration as well as other eye diseases.

The key benefits of an IV Drip for Eye care and vision are:

  • Helps protect eyes against free-radical damage from exposure to UV light
  • Supports the macula and optic nerve
  • Improves the function of the small blood vessels found in the eye
Unless specified, every IV Drip at Higher Health starts with the following base ingredients before we add on for your specific goal:
  • Vitamin C
  • Magnesium
  • Calcium
  • Trace Minerals (Chromium, Copper, Manganese, Selenium, Zinc)
  • B Vitamins (B1,B2, B3, B5, B6, B12)
  • Amino Acids (which promote cellular repair and optimal function)

To help with eye care and vision support, an IV drip will also include the following:

Vitamin C – Vitamin C protects against free-radical damage from exposure to UV light, and provides several other cellular health benefits within the whole body from skin and muscle health, overall energy, cardiovascular benefit, immune health, and so much more.

Vitamin B3 (niacin) – This B vitamin causes vasodilation of blood vessels, which increases blood flow to various tissues and cells. Several ocular conditions, such as AMD, are associated with decreased choroidal circulation. Significant increases in choroidal blood flow and volume were observed following treatment with niacin. This may improve delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the outer retina, as well as removal of metabolic waste and debris that accumulate to form drusen in AMD.

Vitamin  B12 and folate – These B vitamins protect the macula and the optic nerve. A 10-year study published in American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (2013) showed that deficiencies of folic acid and B-12 substantially increased the risk for macular degeneration.

Magnesium – Magnesium helps improve the function of the small blood vessels such as those found in the eye, which helps to bring in nutrients and eliminate waste products.

Selenium – Selenium is highly concentrated in ocular tissues and protects against free-radical damage from UV light. It is needed for the body to take full advantage of the antioxidants vitamin E and glutathione, by stimulating the enzyme glutathione peroxidase. Lower levels of selenium were observed in patients with cataracts.

Zinc – This mineral is found in high concentrations in the eye, especially in the retina and its underlying tissues. Zinc helps bind the protective pigment layer of the retina to the underlying tissue. It also helps to form connections between nerve cells and plays a role in the numerous enzyme systems within the eye.

Taurine – Taurine is the most abundant amino acid found in the retina and protects against both ultraviolet light and toxic substances. It is also thought to contribute to visual acuity and the prevention of degenerative retinal diseases.

L-carnitine – This amino acid is beneficial to eye health because it helps nerve tissue in the brain conduct impulses needed for vision.

Glutathione – A super antioxidant, glutathione squashes free radicals that can damage vision. If you have macular degeneration, it’s likely that you already have a significantly diminished level of glutathione.
