IV Drip For The Immune System

An IV Drip to help your Immune System stay strong is a good idea any time of year.

Some of the benefits this IV Drip can give you:

  • Supports your immune system with high doses of targeted nutrients
  • Reduces inflammation which helps decrease tissue damage associated with infections
  • Provides your system with antimicrobial and antiviral help to your system stay strong

The Goal of the Immune IV Drip is very simple; To boost your immune system as much and as fast as possible.

Unless specified, every IV Drip at Higher Health starts with the following base ingredients before we add on for your specific goal:

  • Vitamin C
  • Magnesium
  • Calcium
  • Trace Minerals (Chromium, Copper, Manganese, Selenium, Zinc)
  • B Vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12)
  • Amino Acids (which promote cellular repair and optimal function)

To help target your Immune System, an IV drip will also include the following:

Additional Vitamin C – Vitamin C is an essential micronutrient for humans, a potent antioxidant and a cofactor for regulatory
genes and enzymes. It contributes to immune defense by supporting various cellular functions of both the innate and adaptive immune system.
It also supports cellular energy pathways, which is helpful while your
body works hard to ward of bacterial or viral invasion.

Selenium – Selenium plays a key role in our immune function as it stimulates lymphocytes and natural killer cells. It helps to recycle
other antioxidants such as glutathione and vitamin C, supporting the immune system further.

Magnesium – Magnesium is involved in immune health as it improves the ability of white blood cells to find and destroy pathogens. It is
a great additional micronutrient to support overall immune function and anti-oxidant health.

Zinc – Zinc regulates our immune function and slows viral replication. It helps control the immune system by slowing down the inflammatory process that is activated by infections. This then helps protect our cells from damage.

Lysine – Lysine is an amino acid that is not only a building block for proteins, but also for immune cells. It helps reduce symptoms of viral infections and blocks the enzymes that virus cells secrete.

NAC – N-acetyl-cysteine is a precursor to glutathione, meaning it plays a role in the antioxidant pathway. It supports the immune
system by suppressing viral replication and reducing inflammation.

Glutathione – Glutathione is our master antioxidant meaning it can balance free radicals (oxidants) in our bodies. Low glutathione can
decrease natural killer cell activity which compromises the immune system.

*Vitamin D (pushed separately) – Vitamin D helps regulate the immune response by supporting our white blood cells. It is also important for strengthening immune function in autoimmune conditions.

Frequency of Treatment:

Your frequency of treatment will depend on individual aspects gathered in your initial consultation.

In general, the recommended frequency for Immune support is weekly or biweekly for 2-4 weekswhile monitoring your progress and adjusting accordingly.

While some clients will do an IV Drip as a stand alone treatment for Immune support, we usually recommend IV Drip Therapy as part of a treatment plan that also includes making the most out of your preferred nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle choices.
